4 Reasons to Look Forward to Freak Week 2018

It has been a busy semester so far, and students always look forward to Freak Week as a way to celebrate fall. Here are a few reasons why this year's Freak Week will be fun-filled.

1. Boo Bash VIP Party

The best way to kick off Freak Week is with a party. Free t-shirts will be given away, and there will be a costume contest, so wear your best costumes! Not to mention, lots of free food! Boo Bash will take place on Oct. 26, in Health Professions lobby from 10 p.m. - 1 a.m.; it is open to current Dalton State students.

2. Freak Week Novelties

Kick off the fall spirit, make wax hands, and show your pumpkin carving skills. Freak Week Novelties will be on the quad from 11 a.m. - 1p.m. and is open to current students.

3. Fall Family Festival

It's back! The annual Fall Family Festival is a favorite time for Roadrunners and the community to play games, dress up, and eat candy. Join us on the quad from 5 - 8 p.m. This event is free and open to the community.

4. Day of the Dead Celebration

To finish it all off, Roadrunners can learn about Latino culture by observing Dia de los Muertos and creating papel picado, painting faces, decorating mini skulls, and contributing to a rememberance altar. And yes, there will be a piñata as well as Mexican food. Day of the Dead is on the quad from 5 - 8 p.m.. The event is free and open to the community.
